Web Summit is one of the biggest tech conferences, held in Lisbon every November. The 2026 edition runs November 9–12, and a general ticket now costs €1,595. The 2027 editions in Qatar, Vancouver and Rio already have dates.

Web Summit sells tickets in stages, and prices go up as the event gets closer. These are the prices on the official ticket page on October 31, 2026, nine days before Lisbon opens.

Earlier in the year the same tickets cost much less: a travel guide published in October listed general tickets from €630 before tax, and startup packages from €495. If you're planning for 2027, buy as early as you can.

What a trip to Web Summit Lisbon really costs

The example below assumes four hotel nights; adjust for your arrival and departure dates. Hotels near Oriente station, next to the venue, average about $110 a night on momondo; the Lisbon average is $319. These are area averages, not quotes for event dates: during Web Summit 2025, Booking.com rooms near the venue cost around three times as much as the week after. Ticket prices are in euros, hotel prices in dollars, as the sources list them. Convert both to one currency using a current rate before adding them; no combined total is given here.

To save on hotels, stay anywhere near a red or green metro line; both run to Oriente.

Web Summit location in Lisbon

Web Summit takes place in Parque das Nações, in the east of Lisbon: the main stage is in the MEO Arena (formerly Altice Arena) and the exhibition in the FIL halls next door. Oriente metro and train station is beside both; the airport is one metro stop away on the red line, about ten minutes.

Web Summit moved from Dublin to Lisbon in 2016. In 2018 it announced a ten-year deal to stay in Lisbon.

Web Summit Vancouver

The North American edition runs at the Vancouver Convention Center on May 25–28, 2027. Its site doesn't show ticket prices yet.

What Web Summit is like

Web Summit was founded by Paddy Cosgrave in Dublin in 2009 and grew from about 400 attendees in 2010 to 70,000 in Lisbon in 2018 and 2022. A ticket gives you access to the content tracks, talks and masterclasses, the exhibition, and Night Summit in the evenings. The networking tools (attendee list, meetups, recommendations) are a big part of what the ticket includes.

Controversies

Cosgrave resigned as CEO in 2023 after posts about the Gaza war led big sponsors to withdraw; he returned as CEO in 2024.

Refunds and transfers

The ticket page doesn't explain refunds or transfers. Web Summit's help center says you can reassign your ticket to a friend or colleague for free in the ticket dashboard, but reselling it breaks the terms and the ticket can be cancelled. At its other events Web Summit refunds tickets cancelled within 14 days of booking and nothing after; we couldn't confirm that rule for Lisbon 2026, because the terms (updated October 27, 2026) didn't load. Read them before buying, especially at the late price.

  • If you can't go, reassign the ticket in your dashboard; don't resell it.
  • Startups and investors: check the separate programs first; they can be much cheaper.
  • Buy on websummit.com; travel guides note that tickets are sold only through the official site.
